We are currently seeking a talented Senior Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer. The ideal candidate is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5 to 10 years of H&H experience. The candidate will work in a variety of water resource related projects including but not limited to: fisheries, fish passage, hydropower, dams, flood control, pump stations, storm water, surface water, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.

The preferred location for this position is Boise, Idaho, but other locations will be considered based on experience.


  • Work on and lead projects focusing on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Build 1D, 2D, and 3D hydraulic models utilizing, but not limited to, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, FLOW-3D.
  • Develop PMPs and inflow hydrographs using hydrologic models utilizing, but not limited to, HEC-HMS.
  • Provide GIS expertise, technical support, and assistance
  • Evaluating and reviewing 2D/3D hydraulic models
  • Provide the hydraulic analysis, surge analysis, for the design of penstocks, pipelines, and pump stations.
  • Provide the hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for the design Spillways, Energy Dissipaters, Outlet Works, and other related infrastructure in hydropower and dams.
  • Present project results at science and engineering conferences
  • Design of storm water management systems for water quality and quantity control


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University;
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5- 10 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic design
  • PE Required; NCEES registration preferred
  • Hydraulic modeling experience including HEC-RAS
  • Hydrologic modeling experience including HEC-HMS
  • Advanced knowledge of or experience with GIS tools to produce flood inundation maps and GIS fundamentals including map projections and datums
  • Excellent communication skills including written and oral presentation skills of technical concepts
  • Independent and highly motivated
