McMillen Jacobs Associates has an immediate need for a Senior Associate or Principal Consultant Vancouver, BC office.

Responsibilities:

Our Claims Practice Group seeks to expand through the addition of senior-level professionals. The listed positions require professionals with significant construction consulting expertise with a proven ability to generate business, manage projects and lead project teams to deliver quality service to our clients.

Candidates must demonstrate the following strengths:

  • Excellent business development and client service experience
  • Track record of successful sales pursuits
  • Market awareness
  • Track record of building, managing and maintaining client relationships

Leadership:

  • Provide direct leadership by setting, communicating and modeling high standards of performance and professionalism, developing and maintaining a high level of personal credibility and work ethic management with staff and demonstrating consistent sound judgment
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and build consensus
  • Identification, selection, development and training of top talent in support roles to promote the growth of McMillen Jaocbs Claims Practice

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction
  • Minimum fifteen (15 - 20) years of experience in the construction industry, plus Experience in consulting in dispute resolution
  • Track record of successful business origination and project delivery to clients and attorneys within the construction industry
  • Professional and/or Industry Certifications (e.g. PE, AIA, AACE certifications)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Prior Expert Witness Testimony experience
  • Proficiency with standard construction industry software tools (e.g. Primavera, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of Contracts, Claim Procedures, and current trends in the analysis of CPM schedules
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities of others
